Dags igen för Naucler Design att kliva på Kulturnattas största scen (Rådhusscenen)!

I år har vi däremot en ny, tidigare och bättre tid – 23

Så missa inte Umeås kanske häftigaste modehändelse!

Naucler Design is once again in a fashion competition, this time at the notable Swedish company IKEA!!! Of the apx. 400 applicants, 25 will be selected to design a wardrobe at IKEA in Stockholm containing their collection. Of these one will be named the winner, and we want that to be us.

So put a vote on Naucler Design, put a vote for latex and maybe we have the chance!

The World of Tomorrow – Collection 2010

Our former collection was all about letting go and “Kill your darlings”. Hence, when making the first collection we had to kill a lot of darlings, but it was not all about letting go. It was also about falling in love with the past, retro/pin-up, easy fashion, bubble gum colours and transparent dreams which became the trademark of our collection .

Now we are in the future and we wanted to create an opposite of our past collection, a bit more dominatrix, a bit more strength and edge! We love strong women and this collection is a salute to you!
We have used a lot of metallic colours, used studs and buckles, nevertheless, we wanted to keep the femininity with the lace-looking ruffles, hart shaped décolletage for instance.

So this is it.

YFI Award

Finally, here is a little update from Naucler Design’s nomination for the Mercedes –Benz YFI Award @ Stockholm Fashion Weekend.

Our goal was to show the fashion industry that latex can be so much more than “___fill in the blanks____” and I think (read: hope) we did!

Thanks to the nomination, we got everything we needed: Models from Mikas (Sweden’s most probably largest model agency), make-up and hair stylists from Max Factor and so forth.

We had a real blast during the nomination and the preparations, making new acquaintances and finished it all with a glass of champagne.

Now it is official, Sophie Nauclér is one of the six finalists at Mercedes-Benz Young Fashion Industry Award!

The award is looking “/…/for something different, something fresh, something new. We congratulate all the finalists for their successes, and salute them for inspiring us to challenge norms, to seek novel methods of expression, and to distinguish ourselves from the crowd, as they themselves have done.“

With over 200 applicants, we are very proud to have give the opportunity to take this big step in to the mainstream fashion limelight with our latex couture! And yes we will shine ;)

The winner will be announced after the 6 finalists have shown their collection on the catwalk.

Time: August 16th at 19.30

Location: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week , Kungsträdgården, Stockholm, Sweden

We have lately not made any real picture update, since we have made more interviews and articles in the last months then we have ever done before.
So to compensate this, we’ve done a little picture update in collaboration with the lovely models Chesty von Ellem and Whisper. You will most definitely see more of these girls in collaborations with us and others.

Umeå fashion wknd 2009 update

Last Thursday was the premier for Umea Fashion WKND. Alot of designers, the local cultural elite, bloggers, Svenska moderådet (Swedish Fashion Counsil) attended the fair and the mandatory fashion parties. Of course Naucler Design couldn’t let this one pass, so we organized a show case for the event.
